…and other Feng Shui Insights that have been passed on to me.
The year of the Snake, 2025.
The snake is known for its resilience, intelligence, determination, renewal and transformation. It sheds its skin, brings new beginnings, continued growth and transformation.
This will be seen globally and individually.
If we consider the characteristics and representation of the snake, we must appreciate that snakes are intelligent and wise and are known for their remarkable determination. They excel in communication, being very persuasive and charming. They tend to be resilient and intuitive, demonstrating both sensitivity and competence.
They are imaginative and humorous, skilled problem solvers, which invites respect and fascination.
The element of yin suggests growth, endurance, innovation and imagination.
The snake in this photo (as seen in Hongkong while hiking) showed tremendous tenacity trying to get out of the trenches.

What are you shedding this year? What are the new beginnings and massive transformations you are allowing and making possible in your life?

General Feng Shui Wisdom:
- Never place the foot of a bed opposite a door.
- Fix or throw out anything broken or unused.
- Make sure your bedside table is not taller than your mattress. This could lead to neck problems.
- Keep your entrance clean, welcoming and uncluttered.
- Avoid clutter all throughout your house.
- Choose rounded edges for furniture, fittings and decorations if possible.
- Group decorative objects in odd numbers and different heights.
- You can use mirrors to create an illusion of space, no mirrors in bedrooms though.
